Nursery Necessity – Lorena Canals Rug
For me designing the perfect room is a never ending task, I’m always looking for that extra thing that just completes the look. And Hudson’s nursery was no different. After picking out the crib, bedding, wall art and changing table it was done enough to look cute and be functional, but there was still something that was just missing.
I had been looking for a rug, but couldn’t quite find the right one, until I discovered Lorena Canals. Besides the super cute designs and patterns, these lightweight rugs are machine washable and are totally easy to transport from one room to another. Living in a one bedroom condo, I love that I can have it in the bedroom one day and in the living room the next. It cuts down on the number of products I need in a small space, but gives my learning crawler the nice padding from the wood floor.
And did I mention it is machine washable?! My old rugs had to be switched out after a year or two, because despite vacuuming regularly, they no longer looked cream but a nasty, dirty grey. My Lorena Canals rug won’t have to be tossed because of dirt, I can wash it clean and keep it for years to come. And let me tell you, between the spilt sippy cups, leaky boob milk droppings, crumbs from teething crackers and all the other messes that come with motherhood, this rug is going to go through the wash cycle quite a few times!
Once I found out about the Lorena Canals rugs and how I could wash them, I knew I wanted one, so I started looking through all the designs on their website. And I found the perfect rug! The cloud rug in grey, Hudson’s corner of the room is clouds and hot air balloons with a little bit of elephants worked in. And this rug matched perfectly, and was that last piece I needed to finally complete his nursery.
I will say, there were quite a few other rugs I loved also, there were so many great designs to choose from. And none of them are too “baby” meaning they can transition with your child from nursery to toddler room, which really extends the life of the rug, further justifying the purchase!
Here’s a look at Hudson’s nursery, complete with his Lorena Canals rug!
