Destination: Black’s Nude Beach- San Diego, CA

– Topless Tanning at Black’s Nude Beach – 

My first, and still only, ever nude beach experience was at Black’s Beach in San Diego, CA and I honestly wasn’t too impressed. If you’re anything like me, not afraid to bare a bit of skin, but want a little privacy and decent looking people around you, this isn’t the place for you.

No girls playfully kicking water at one another topless, no sexy guys with six packs and huge biceps throwing a football, no toned, tanned, naked bodies, just old men with all their saggy wrinkly skin hanging out for all to see. And creepy fully clothed Mexican guys hiding in the bushes with binoculars.

Black’s Beach is located in the La Jolla area of San Diego, so if you would like to check it out for yourself, follow directions like you are going to the Torrey Pines Gliderport. Once you park your car at the top of the bluff you start the descent down a steep stairway built into the cliffside. This steep climb is what keeps the beach secluded and perfect for the nudes, it also takes a toll on your knees and ankles so be prepared with hiking shoes, flip flops aren’t going to cut it.

After making it down the stairs, Devin and I found a place to lay out that was away from everyone else, even at a nude beach a girl needs a bit of privacy. But I soon found out there was no privacy to be had. Between the people soaring above from the Gliderport, the Mexican guys in the bushes with binoculars, and the men strutting up and down the beach I realized that I would never feel total comfortable getting nude, but sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone, and if you can’t beat them ….
